SILVER AND GOLDEN ANNIVERSARIES

The Diocesan Delegation for Families and Life, along with the Asociación de Fieles Ntra. Sra. de los Reyes y San Fernando, has organized the traditional celebration for silver and golden anniversaries on Saturday, 17 February. The Eucharist will take place in Seville Cathedral at eight o’clock in the evening, presided over by the Archbishop, Monsignor José Ángel Saiz Meneses, at the Jubilee Altar.

On the previous day, Friday the 16th, from six thirty in the evening, the welcome and registration of the marriages that will be celebrating their silver and golden anniversaries is planned in the Royal Chapel. Following that, there will be a reflection on the occasion for the celebration led by priest Adrián Ríos, Canon and Royal Chaplain.

This celebration has been arranged as part of “Marriage Week” which the Spanish Episcopal Conference has organized from 12-18 February in all Spanish dioceses using the campaign “Forever Match”.

PROGRAM IN THE CATHEDRAL

• Friday, 16 February:

At 8:30 the Virgen de los Reyes Chapel will host  the reception and registration of the couples that will celebrate their silver and gold wedding anniversaries at the eucharist on the 17th. Those who would like to receive the Virgen de los Reyes souvenir must present their names on this day.

At 20:30. instructions will be given about the organization of the following day and there will be a time of reflection on the occasion of celebration.

• Saturday, 17 February:

In the Cathedral at 20:00 Solemn Eucharist led by theArchbishop of Seville, D. José Ángel Saiz Meneses.

At the conclusion of the celebration, each previously registered couple will receive a commemorative souvenir of the event.
