The Chapter of Seville Cathedral offers, among its most unique and evocative cultural proposals, the guided tour “De Profundis: the sepulchres of the archbishops of the Cathedral”, a nocturnal experience that invites you to explore the most intimate and unknown spaces of the Temple.
The activity, framed within the cultural program of the institution, is oriented towards the conservation and valorization of its artistic and religious heritage, offering a guided tour of the chapels and spaces where the prelates who marked the history of the Sevillian Church rest. During the visit, attendees will discover not only the artistic aspects of the funerary monuments, but also the biographies and the pastoral legacy of those who occupied this metropolitan see.
Under the dim light of the night and the echo of live sacred music, visitors enter an itinerary that combines history, art and spirituality. The tour also allows access to the crypt of the archbishops, located under the Parish of the Tabernacle, a space that until recently was closed to the public and that is now shown as an authentic testimony of the ecclesiastical memory of Seville.
