Standards
The Cathedral is a sacred place, a World Heritage monument and the largest and most visible building in the city, which also welcomes hundreds of thousands of worshippers and visitors every year. Please keep these rules in mind to help maintain its splendor.
LITURGICAL ACTS
Tourist visits are not permitted inside the Cathedral during liturgical acts.
SECURITY
Prohibited access with objects that may constitute a risk to the health of visitors or the heritage.
SILENCE AND ATTIRE
Please maintain silence and dress respectfully (for further information, see the downloadable Visit Regulations). Remove head coverings when entering the premises.
PHOTOGRAPHS
Photography without flash and without a tripod is permitted, as long as those in prayer are not disturbed.
CHILDREN
Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Running is not allowed in the Temple.
ANIMALS
Pets are not allowed on the premises, except for guide dogs.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Eating and drinking (except water) are prohibited throughout the premises.
MOBILE PHONES
Please switch off mobile phones out of respect for those in prayer.
NO SMOKING
Smoking is completely prohibited in the entire premises.
