With the beginning of a new liturgical year, the Chapter of the Cathedral once again celebrates the Catechesis that takes place during the important liturgical seasons. For this reason, they will be dedicated, in the first place, to Advent and Christmas.
Integrated into the pastoral activity of the Chapter for several years now, they will continue to maintain the same format, that is, a chapter member will be in charge of carrying out a brief initial catechesis, followed by an itinerary through the interior of the Cathedral in which we will approach various artistic pieces of the temple, but with the purpose of attending to its evangelizing and catechetical function. After this tour, we will end with a few minutes of community prayer.
The catechesis will take place on Wednesday and Friday afternoons of Advent and Christmas. They are free, but a donation of €2 is requested, which is destined for Cáritas Diocesana. To participate in them, you can make a reservation through the following link: https://catedraldesevilla.entradasdemuseos.com/visit/catequesis-de-adviento
Without a doubt, these catechesis are a magnificent and different tool for all those who wish to prepare, in prayer and meditation, this fundamental time of our life, which serves as an announcement of the arrival of the Messiah, so that, like the psalmist, we can proclaim:
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad,
let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy,
let all the trees of the forest sing for joy,
he comes to judge the earth.
