The Chapter of Seville Cathedral is completing the assembly work on the Silver Altar, one of the most valuable Baroque insignias of the Temple. Following the intervention process that began in early 2025 with the dismantling of the structure and the transfer of the silverwork to specialized workshops, the technical project is now in its final days of work directly on the crossing.
Currently, the workers and specialists are focusing their efforts on adjusting the final pieces of silverwork and securing the anchors in their definitive location.

The execution of this work is carried out by the specialized company Arte & Marmolejo. Under the direction of José Luis Marmolejo Chaparro, a multidisciplinary team is coordinated, highlighting the work of art restorers Inmaculada Martínez León and Marta Galán Cornello, directly responsible for the conservation treatments applied to the pieces.
With the completion of this assembly work, the Silver Altar will imminently recover its historic presence in the liturgical and cultural activity of Seville Cathedral.
