Seville Cathedral, through the San Isidore and Magna Hispalensis Chair of Liturgy of the San Isidore of Seville Faculty, invites musicians, liturgists and the faithful to this training event on 14, 15 and 16 April at 7:00 PM.
Following the success of the first edition, this year the 2nd Training and Practical Workshops in Gregorian Chant and Choral Music will focus on the study and performance of the Marian Antiphons for the whole year, a key element of the Church’s liturgical and musical heritage.
The sessions will be led by René Javier Hernández Vélez, a renowned expert and Docente di Prassi Cultuali at the Pontificio Istituto di Musica Sacra in Rome. Hernández Vélez is also a member of the prestigious Schola Cantorum Gregoriana, which guarantees training of the highest standard, both theoretical and practical.
These workshops are designed for a wide range of participants connected with sacred music:
- Choirs and choir directors.
- Choral groups, choir schools and chapel choirs.
- Instrumentalists and organists.
- Pastoral workers and those interested in liturgical music.
